Hi, my name is Neal. This site is dedicated to documenting and sharing our family’s travels over the past decade (and into the future) as we drive up, down, and across California’s stunning Sierra Nevada mountains. We live in San Diego County, but for ten years we’ve made annual pilgrimages up the eastern side of the Sierras on Hwy. 395.
We love this place so much, and because we’ve been doing it for so long, we have a lot of experience to share, especially for families that wants to check this area out for themselves.
